The Money Behind Iran's Brokerages: Mofid Tops the Registered-Capital Ranking of the 10 Largest Tehran Brokerages With 1,000 Billion Tomans (Wednesday, August 19, 2026)
The registered capital of Iran's 10 largest Tehran Stock Exchange brokerages totals 5,735.1 billion tomans. Mofid leads with 1,000 billion tomans, followed by Pasargad Bank Brokerage (950) and Bank Mellat Brokerage (721.1). The gap from first to tenth place is 630 billion tomans, a 2.7x ratio, but registered capital alone does not measure a brokerage's real strength (August 19, 2026, 28 Mordad 1405).

We are looking at the money behind Iran's brokerages; being bigger does not always mean being stronger. These ten Tehran brokerages hold just over five thousand seven hundred billion tomans in capital, combined. Mofid Securities tops this table with one thousand billion tomans in registered capital. Registered capital is the figure in a company's bylaws showing how much capital shareholders committed. After Mofid come Pasargad, Bank Mellat, Charisma, Saba Tamin, and Hafez in the next spots. Sahm e Ashna, Iran Bourse Bimeh, Iran National Investment, and Mobin Sarmayeh round out the top ten. The average is about five hundred seventy billion tomans; the top to bottom gap is six hundred thirty billion. Many of the most lucrative brokerage licenses require a minimum registered capital. Pasargad and Bank Mellat sit in second and third place because their capital ties to their parent banks. But this number alone does not say which brokerage is better for a retail investor. Registered capital is not trading value, not market share, and not assets under management. A brokerage's real strength shows up in trading volume, market share, and service quality. Watch for capital increases at mid table brokerages and new minimum capital rules from the regulator. Today's verdict is this; registered capital measures size, not real strength. The full analysis is on Sahmino dot com; which brokerage do you think is really the strongest?
