The Iran Mercantile Exchange said on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 (17 Shahrivar 1405) that the central bank's first standard parallel salaf bonds on the full Bahar Azadi coin trade tomorrow, September 9, from 11:45 to 18:00 under the symbol "Asakkeh 2". The offering is 100,000 coins issued as 100 million notes, which makes each coin 1,000 notes. At the Emami coin's free market rate in Sahmino's price series at 19:59 today, one note is 234,995 tomans.

Transcript

Today, September eighth, Iran's commodity exchange said a gold coin will be sold in slices from tomorrow. The central bank is offering one hundred thousand coins as one hundred million notes. It is a standard parallel salaf bond, a forward sale of the coin with a three month maturity. The symbol is Asakkeh two, and it trades tomorrow from eleven forty five until six in the evening. One coin is about two hundred and thirty five million tomans; a thousandth of it, two hundred and thirty five thousand. You buy with an ordinary share trading code, and an individual may take up to one hundred coins. The central bank announced it on September fifth, and the exchange published the details today. At maturity the holder picks physical delivery of the coin, or cash settlement at seven percent. For scale, the coin itself rose almost thirty percent between June ninth and tonight. Tomorrow's opening price comes from the coin deposit certificate, not from the free market rate. Tonight gold and the free dollar both rose, while the global ounce slipped a little. The one thing to remember: the purchase unit shrank from a whole coin to a thousandth. Our reading: the offering goes ahead and stays inside its five percent band. Does this move demand, or make it?
