Abada Sells 8.4 Megawatts of Capacity Certificates for 794 Billion Rials
Abadeh Cement, trading under the symbol آبادا (Abada), disclosed on codal on Saturday, 23 August 2026 (1 Shahrivar 1405), as a related party transaction under Article 129 of the Commercial Code, the sale of 8.4 megawatts of capacity guarantee certificates to Barakat Pharmaceutical Industrial Town Company. The transaction amount is 794,262 million rials (about 79 billion tomans), with a transaction date of 23 August 2026 (1 Shahrivar 1405). According to the disclosure, settlement is by three Sayad cheques, each for 264,754 million rials, maturing on 16 September, 17 October and 16 November 2026 (25 Shahrivar, 25 Mehr and 25 Aban 1405). The counterparty is described as a related party under common ultimate ownership. This is a related party transaction, disclosed because it falls under Article 129. For a shareholder, it is an example of monetising a side asset, surplus electricity capacity, alongside the core cement business.
