Sep 12, 2026
The Raydium token (RAY), bucking the broader cryptocurrency market's downtrend, rose 90 percent over the week to today, Saturday, 21 Shahrivar 1405 (September 12, 2026), reaching an 11 month high of $1.58. According to Arzdigital, while the overall crypto market fell about 1.1 percent over the past 24 hours, Raydium rose 18 percent in the same period, making it the second best performing asset among the top 300 cryptocurrencies.
Per the report, the rally had three main drivers: first, the StonkFun platform's announcement on 15 Shahrivar (September 6) that it would launch all its new tokens through Raydium's LaunchLab service, alongside a cut in the service's token launch fee from 0.29 to 0.03 SOL; second, a roughly $640,788 buyback of RAY tokens on 18 Shahrivar (September 9), the protocol's largest daily buyback since February 2025; and third, the start of trading in a tokenized version of Grindr stock on the Backpack Securities platform on 19 Shahrivar (September 10), which reached $11 million in trading volume within just one hour.

Bank of Russia Warns Crypto Growth Could Weaken the Ruble
In its new policy guidelines for 2027 to 2029, the Bank of Russia listed cryptocurrencies and stablecoins among the major threats to the country's financial markets and monetary sovereignty. The central bank warned that the spread of crypto assets could weaken the ruble, cause heavy financial losses for retail investors and fuel the shadow economy, and it called for tougher enforcement against unlicensed platforms. Under current rules, Russian retail investors face an annual trading cap of about 3,700 dollars through licensed brokers. The policy document reflects a dual approach: using crypto assets to settle international trade and bypass sanctions is permitted, but domestic use remains tightly restricted, since the bank says wider adoption would disrupt monetary tools and complicate inflation and interest rate management.

Bitcoin Falls Below $77,000
Bitcoin fell below the $77,000 level on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. According to Arzdigital, the decline came as hopes faded for progress on the US Senate's crypto market structure bill, the CLARITY Act. Donya-e-Eqtesad reported that crypto markets fell broadly the same day, a move it attributed not only to the US regulatory uncertainty but also to rising concern over the impact of monetary tightening and the Federal Reserve's interest rate outlook on risk assets. Live data from tgju.org showed bitcoin trading around $76,850 as of 4 PM Tehran time on Tuesday.

US Justice Department files complaint to forfeit $61 million in crypto tied to Iranian oil sales
The US Department of Justice claimed in the early hours of Tuesday, September 15, 2026, as reported by IRNA, that it has filed a complaint to forfeit about $61 million in cryptocurrency proceeds from black market sales of sanctioned Iranian crude oil and petroleum products. The department alleged the Iranian government used a network of crypto actors in China and elsewhere to launder more than $1.5 billion in illicit oil revenue to benefit the military and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Shawn Buckley, deputy US attorney for the Southern District of New York, described the action as a sign of US resolve to deprive Iran and its proxies of these funds, and FBI official James C. Barnacle Jr. said the complaint demonstrates the ability to trace and halt crypto flows to governments evading sanctions. The complaint alleges two Chinese companies, Blessed Trust and Hexa Whale, used trading accounts on the Binance exchange in the UAE to launder Iranian oil revenue and transfer it to the Iranian government and its representatives.
